What do you love the most about teaching?

I have been teaching for six years and the best part about it is that I learn something new everyday from each of my students. They constantly surprise me with their amazing skills and abilities each and every single day. It is so important to make sure my students succeed because no child should feel like they cannot accomplish something. I have been teaching for six years with children at all grade levels from birth through ninth grade. I received my BA in Childhood Education with a minor in history. I am currently going for my masters in Literacy and Special Education for first through sixth grade. The students that come into my classroom do not feel in confident in themselves. They feel as though they are a failure. However, when they leave my classroom, my students are the most successful, confident, and amazing individuals I have ever had the pleasure of teaching. Nowadays, there is so much pressure on students to make sure they pass every single state test. Even though it is important, the most crucial job that I have is making sure the student feels accepted, safe, successful, and loved. When you teach students those concepts along with content you will see a total change in your classroom, their attitudes toward school and learning and much more. This pedagogy has worked every single time and that is why my students have the highest success rates not only in school but in life as well.
