What do you love the most about teaching?

I've always loved working with kids since I was young, and it's why I've enjoyed working as a camp conselor, a Big Brothers Big Sisters mentor, and tutoring! I also have a passion for math and so I want to rid people of the assumption that math is intimidating! I've been tutoring since I was in middle school in all subjects including math, reading, and trumpet. In high school, I was the president of the National Honor Society and had to tutor 40 hours per year and match our whole squad of tutors to students in need of help. Throughout college and since graduating with my bachelor of science, I have continued to tutor students in math from early high school up to college students studying calculus to significantly improve their grades and test scores. On top of being an expert in the subjects I tutor, I'm an excellent communicator. While many tutors know the subjects, I am able to explain the concepts in ways that you'll be able to understand and succesfully put into practice! This is key for success in math!
