O que você mais ama no ensino?

I adore teaching, and children in general, because of the unbridled passion for learning about their surroundings. As they grow and become acclimated to formal schooling, I believe a lot of this passion goes away. It is my firm belief that we as humans innately have a love for learning, and I do my best to teach this enthusiasm with my students. I am a current high schooler at the Seattle Academy of Arts and Sciences and currently study English Literature and Moral Philosophy. I teach ages 3-13 working in standardized test prep, formal essay writing, legibility of handwriting, reading, annotating and writing. I have developed my own method for formal essays using acquired knowledge of what the professors are looking for. While I do not have any formal teaching credentials due to my age, I am able to provide a peer teaching experience. Many students find this helpful due to the relatability that I bring. I understand the lack of motivation or understanding that can be extremely detrimental to a child’s learning and teach them skills to navigate the confusion while simultaneously increasing their knowledge and confidence in the subject.
